Conditions of Entry
To ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all attendees, staff, and participants, the stated Conditions of Entry apply to all visitors of the Assyrian New Year Festival and may be subject to change at any time.
General Entry Conditions
The Assyrian National Council of Australia Inc. (ANCA) reserves the right to refuse admission or remove individuals from the Assyrian New Year Festival at its sole discretion.
Please note that all ticket sales for the Assyrian New Year Festival are final. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
Anyone found gaining unauthorised access to the festival may be subject to prosecution.
For the safety of all attendees, thorough security checks will be carried out at the entrance. All guests are required to undergo a complete screening, which may include bag searches and the use of metal detectors. Failure to comply with these security procedures will result in denial of entry.
All attendees of the Assyrian New Year Festival are kindly requested to dress appropriately for the event. For safety and comfort, we recommend wearing closed-toe footwear. Please note that entry may be restricted for those wearing sandals, slides, or similar open-toe shoes. The ANCA will not be held liable for any accidents or injuries that may occur as a result of improper footwear choices.
All attendees enter the festival grounds at their own risk and are expected to exercise caution. By entering the Assyrian New Year Festival, attendees agree to take full responsibility for their actions and indemnify the ANCA, along with its agents, employees, officers, and trustees, against any claims, damages, costs, or liabilities arising from their behaviour. This includes any reasonable legal fees incurred by the ANCA in defending such claims.
If you are accompanying minors, you are responsible for their care, actions, and supervision at all times while on the festival grounds.
The safety and well-being of all festival attendees is of paramount importance. Any individual who is deemed to pose a risk to public safety or behaves in a manner that endangers others will be removed from the festival grounds by security personnel or law enforcement.
Restricted and Prohibited Items
Bringing any of the following restricted or prohibited items onto festival grounds will result in their immediate confiscation, and in some cases, further action may be taken by security or law enforcement.
Prohibited Items Include:
Alcohol
Alcohol is strictly prohibited at the festival. As this is a family-friendly event, no alcoholic beverages are permitted within the festival grounds.
Drugs or drug paraphernalia
The possession or use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Anyone found with drugs or paraphernalia will be removed from the festival and may face legal consequences.
Explosive devices
Flares, fireworks, smoke bombs, or any other explosive or incendiary devices are not allowed on-site. These pose a serious safety risk to everyone attending.
Laser pointers
For the safety of performers and attendees, laser pointers are not allowed as they can cause harm or distraction.
Weapons
Knives, firearms, and any other potentially dangerous weapons are strictly forbidden. This includes items that may be used as a weapon, even if not originally intended as such.
In addition to the above, festival security may deny entry to individuals attempting to bring in any item that they deem a safety hazard or that could disrupt the festival experience. This includes, but is not limited to glass containers or drones.
